Efka® FL 3337 | Solvent Blends | Efka® FL 3337 (Old Name: Efka® 3037) by BASF is solvent-based flow and leveling agent. It is solvent blend of high-boiling aromatics, ketones and esters. It prevents surface defects, cob-webbing, streaking & chilling and shortens setting time. Efka® FL 3337 is recommended for NC, medium oil alkyds, polyacrylate & polyurethane, 2-pack PUR, 2-pack epoxy coatings and baking/stoving enamels. |
Efka® FL 3740 | Leveling agent | Efka® FL 3740 by BASF is a copolyacrylate. Acts as a leveling agent. Exhibits air release properties and eliminates or reduces cratering, fish eyes & orange peel. Improves the flow, dispersion and floating behavior. Prevents air entrapment and optimizes wetting of the substrate. Modifies the surface tension of the coatings, due to its chemical structure. Used in non-aqueous, liquid coating systems, in powder coatings and binder for powder coatings. Also used in alkyd-, epoxy-, acrylic/melamine-, 2-component acrylic-, PVC-, polyurethane- and chlorinated rubber- coatings & nitrocellulose lacquers. The recommended dosage of Efka® FL 3740 by BASF is between 0.2 and 1.0% depending upon the formulation. |
Efka® SI 2722 | Sillicones | Efka® SI 2722 (old name: Efka® 2722) by BASF is a silicone containing defoamer and deaerator. It acts as a leveling agent, providing smooth surface to the coating. It allows production of foam- and blister-free self-leveling coatings. It is suitable for solvent-free epoxy and polyurethane compounds. Recommended dosage is 0.5–1.5% on total formulation. It complies with TSCA regulation. Efka® SI 2722 has a shelf life of 4 years. |
Efka® SI 3239 | Sillicones | Solvent-free modified polysiloxane. Acts as a defoamer, leveling agent and slip/mar resistance agent. Improves levelling and surface smoothness. Increases slip and mar-resistance. Avoids formation of bénard cells (anti-floating effect). Used in coatings such as acid cured or polyurethane wood finishes particularly when applied by curtain coating, stoving enamels based on alkyd-, acrylic- or polyester resins, self-levelling epoxy flooring compounds and UV-cured paper lacquers. The recommended dosage is 0.05-0.5% on total formulation. It complies with TSCA regulation. |
Efka® SL 3030 | Sillicones | Efka® SL 3030 (Old name: Efka® 3030) by BASF is an organically modified polysiloxane. Acts as a defoamer, anti-block-, slip control-, scratch resistant- and leveling- agent. Exhibits increased scratch and abrasion resistance. Prevents floating and imparts improved anti-blocking characteristics. Used in water- and solvent-based industrial coatings. Recommended dosage level of Efka® SL 3030 is 0.1-0.3%. |
Efka® SL 3033 | Sillicones | Efka® SL 3033 (old name: Efka® 3033) by BASF is an organically modified polysiloxane. Acts as a slip-control-, anti-cratering-, abrasion resistant-, anti-blocking- and leveling- agent. Offers improved levelling and exhibits increased scratch- & abrasion resistance. Prevents floating and cratering and enhances anti-blocking characteristics. Imparts very good compatibility properties. Used in solvent based coatings. Recommended dosage level of Efka® SL 3033 is 0.1–1.0% and it has a shelf life of 4 years. |
Efka® SL 3210 | Leveling agent | Organically modified siloxane. Acts as a slip control-, wetting- and leveling- agent. Improves substrate wetting & leveling as well as block- and scuff- resistance. Used in gravure printing, flexographic printing inks and clear over-print varnishes. The recommended dosage is 0.1–0.3% on total formulation. |
Efka® SL 3257 | Leveling agent | Organo-modified polysiloxane. Acts as a slip control agent and leveling agent. Exhibits very good substrate wetting and reduction of surface tension. Offers improved gloss, scratch resistance and leveling. Shows compatibility with a wide range of resins. Provides slip modified surfaces which are conducive to recoatability. Also provides very efficient reduction of COF (coefficient of friction). Used in printing inks, coatings and paints. The recommended dosage is 0.05-1% on total formulation. |
